advanced development
I work as a Lead Imagineer in Research and Development at Walt Disney Imagineering, based in Los Angeles. My background in applied robotics, generative AI, and fabrication technologies carries over directly into what we build here—next-generation theme park experiences that blend cutting-edge tech with storytelling.
The team I work with includes scientists, engineers, puppeteers, coders, artists, and performers. We prototype fast, fail often, and iterate constantly. When something works, we test it with real guests. Make better mistakes tomorrow.

autonomous characters
A lot of our team's recent work involves characters that can move freely, interact with their environment, and feel alive. No rails, no scripts. Our Olaf animatronic and BDX droids were trained to balance and move using reinforcement learning in a physics environment platform co-developed with Nvidia. Running into robots in our hallways that are in the process of developing a personality is surreal.
the campus
Our headquarters in Glendale feels more like a creative studio than a corporate office. Artists and engineers sit side by side. Everything we build is in service of the story. Every project starts with the same question: how do we make this more magical?
